Zusammenfassung
Die motorische Endplatte ist die Kontaktstelle zwischen Nerven und quergestreiften Muskeln. In dieser Region liegen die terminalen Nervenfarn ohne Myeeslinschicht, eingebettet in das Muskelprotoplasma, das ein verzweigtes Furchensystem bildet. In diesem Furchensystem liegt die Subneuralschicht, in welcher histochemisch die Cholinesterase lokalisiert wurde. Zwischen den terminalen Nervenfasern und dem Muskelsarkoplasma befinden sich eine Telogliamembrane des Axons und die palisadenförmige Subneuralschicht. Elektronenmikroskopisch sind in den terminalen Nervenfasern Mitochondrien und winzige Bläschen zu sehen, welch letztere das Acetylcholin (ACh) enthalten. Wenn ein Aktionsstrom durch die Nervenfaser die Endplatte erreicht, wird ACh aus den Bläschen freigemacht. Das ACh diffundiert durch den Subneuralraum und bindet sich an die Receptoren der Muskelmembrane, wird aber bald danach durch die Acetylcholinesterase hydrolytisch gespalten. Die kurz dauernde Bindung an die Muskelmembran bewirkt eine Permeabilitätsänderung für Ionen, so daß erst Na-Ionen aus dem extracellulären Raum in die Muskelzelle eintreten und danach K-Iomen nach außen treten. Durch diese Ionenverschiebungen wird das Ruhepotential der Zellmembrance innerhalb 0,2 msec. von —90 mV auf —45mV heruntergesetzt und es entsteht ein lokalisiertes Endplattenpotential.
