Applications of Gibberellins in Japan

Abstract

Researches on the application of gibberellin have been carried out in Japan mainly at each agricultural experiment station and institute of the university through Japan Gibberellin Research Association. These researches in this year can be classified into two groups, experiments for practical use for crops and more basic reasearch for application. A report concerning to the latter was abstracted in the publication of Japan Gibberellin Research Association. I would like to present a brief review of application of gibberellin with some emphasis on the experiments for practical use for crops.
