Abstract

Recently much concern has been focused on developing new types of Shinkansen trains (bullet train) and improving the railway structure to increase the operation speed to cope with congested situation of airways and roadways. One of the important structural problems for this is to solve the dynamic interactions among the train, rail, and railway structures such as bridges to assure the safety and ride comfort at a high-speed operation.
