Abstract
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are frequent air pollutants in non-industrial environments. Organic compounds have been categorized into four groups, of which the VOC category is defined by a boiling point range with an lower limit between 50° and 100°C and an upper limit between 240° and 260°C. The higher values refer to polar compounds (WHO 1989).
