Zusammenfassung

In der Literatur findet man keine Untersuchung, die eine psychogene Ursache der ungeklärten Infertilität bei (Ehe-)Paaren nachweist. Es gibt jedoch in der täglichen Praxis zahlreiche Hinweise für eine solche Ursache, so daß man geneigt ist, auch ohne wissenschaftliche Beweise daran zu glauben. (Prof. Dr. med. J. Kremer. Abschiedsvorlesung, Utrecht, 27. August 1985). Die Beweisführung in der Psychosomatik bleibt für viele noch immer zweideutig. Jede Wissenschaft versucht, Zusammenhänge zu entdecken, um so Gesetzmäßigkeiten begreifen und therapeutisch besser eingreifen zu können. In der Psychosomatik gibt es zwei Typen von Zusammenhängen mit ganz unterschiedlicher Wertigkeit. Zum Beispiel gibt es auf der einen Seite die sexuelle Impotenz eines jungen querschnittgelähmten Mannes, auf der anderen Seite die sexuelle Impotenz eines Mannes, der mit der Diagnose seiner Infertilität konfrontiert wurde.
