Abstract
Up to about 10 years ago, dyslipidaemia discovered in patients aged more than 65 years was not treated, the associated cardiovascular risk being considered weak in comparison with other risk factors. More recently, because of the increase of the duration of life, these dyslipidaemias in elderly patients are increasingly being treated with lipid-lowering drugs such as fenofibrate.
