Zusammenfassung

Im Auge und in seiner Umgebung kommen gutartige und bösartige Tumoren vor. Meistens werden sie früh erkannt, da sie sichtbar werden, die Sehfunktion stören oder den Augapfel dislozieren. Die Möglichkeit der Malignität darf nie vergessen werden. Die Fluoreszenzangiographie ist ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel zur Erkennung von intraokularen Tumoren. Eine Differenzierung in benigne oder maligne Veränderungen ist damit oft aber nicht möglich. Die Ultrasonographic kann sehr nützlich zur Abgrenzung von Orbitatumoren oder von intraokulären Massen sein, besonders wenn der ophthalmoskopische Einblick etwa durch eine Katarakt getrübt ist. Eine Verzögerung in der Abklärung kann zur Folge haben, daß ein operativer Eingriff technisch schwieriger wird und eine brauchbare Sehfunktion verloren geht. Wenn möglich sollen von allen verdächtigen Stellen Biopsien entnommen werden, wobei sich kleinere Tumorknötchen gleich ganz entfernen lassen.
