Abstract

A signification expresses the signified; this statement has been made by De Saussure ([92], p. 79). According to Meyer-Eppler ([77], p. 3), the signification serves the signified content as a transport vehicle. Meyer-Eppler thinks of sign bodies in the form of transport vehicles or carriers of sign function and sign content.
