Zusammenfassung

Zwischen Viren und dem humanen Immunsystem besteht eine enge Abhängigkeit. Die Entwicklung beider Partner im Lauf der Evolution hat zu spezifischen Anpassungen des einen an den anderen geführt. Zum Beispiel weisen molekularbiologische Argumente darauf hin, dass Retroviren einen wichtigen Faktor in der Evolution des humanen Immunsystems darstellen (Bagasra u. Amjad 2000, Villareal 1997). Es ist somit nicht erstaunlich, dass virale Infektionen und Alterationen des Immunsystems für hämatologische Neoplasien prädisponieren, die selbst oft Erkrankungen des Immunsystems darstellen.
