Zusammenfassung
Der nachfolgende dritte Abschnitt des Buches beschäftigt sich mit der Therapie der Hypertonie. Der Seitenumfang dieses Teils spiegelt nicht nur die mittlerweile vielfältig verfügbaren Möglichkeiten, sondern auch die zu beachtenden Besonderheiten der Hypertoniebehandlung wider. Moderne Hypertonietherapie ist nur Teil eines therapeutischen Gesamtkonzeptes, dessen Ziel es ist, das individuelle, kardiovaskuläre Gesamtrisiko günstig zu beeinflussen und die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Herz-/Kreislauferkrankung und deren oft tödliche Spätfolgen zu verringern.
