Zusammenfassung

Die Endometriumablation ist ein therapeutisches Verfahren zur Behandlung rezidivierender Blutungsstörungen, das sich auch in Deutschland in den letzten 10 Jahren mehr und mehr etabliert hat. Blutungsstörungen sind eine der häufigsten Probleme in der Praxis, wobei die Endometriumablation im Stufenkonzept der rezidivierenden Blutungsstörungen nur eine Zwischenstufe zwischen hormoneller Therapie und Hysterektomie darstellt. Unter diesen Blutungsstörungen werden zusammengefasst die Hypermenorrhoe (die nicht länger als 7 Tage dauernde, aber sehr starke Blutung) sowie die Menorrhagie (Blutung, die meist länger als 7 Tage anhalt). Beiden gemeinsam ist ein Blutverlust von mehr als 80 ml. Somit wird bereits klar, dass diese Definition Hypermenorrhoe bzw. Menorrhagie sehr subjektiv ist.
