Zusammenfassung
Warum scheiden Paare, deren Partnerschaftsqualität und Liebe einmal groß war? Auf diese Frage gibt es verschiedene Antworten. So auch eine, welche gestützt auf neuere Forschungsarbeiten, zeigt, dass Stress und dessen Bewältigung für das Verständnis des Zerfalls von Paarbeziehungen eine wichtige Erklärung geben. Wie Paare mit Alltagsbelastungen umgehen, scheint entscheidend für die Qualität, den Verlauf und die Stabilität von Partnerschaften. Je besser jeder Partner einzeln bzw. beide Partner zusammen (dyadisches Coping) Stress bewältigen, desto günstiger ist die Prognose für die Paarbeziehung.
