Zusammenfassung
Es erscheint uns selbstverständlich, dass das Verhalten der Tiere durch Instinkte in naturgemäß geordneten Bahnen gehalten wird, während ein der menschlichen Natur gemäß geordnetes Verhalten ethische Wertungen und moralische Regeln benötigt. Die Voraussetzung dafür, Moral als Abklatsch der Natur zu verstehen oder wenigstens auf die Autorität der Natur gestützt Moral zu predigen, war, dass die im ethischen Dekalog aufgeführten Verhaltensbereiche ihre Entsprechung im Tierreich haben. Verhaltensforschung und Soziobiologie finden klare Parallelen zum menschlichen Verhalten im Sozialverhalten der Tiere, ohne damit ethische Wertungen oder Sollensforderungen einzuführen.
