Zusammenfassung

Die Versorgung von Verletzungen der Nieren ist in Deutschland eine seltene urologische Herausforderung. Die Therapie hat sich dabei in den letzten Jahren von einer überwiegend chirurgischen zu einer überwiegend konservativen hin entwickelt. Nur noch in seltenen Fällen ist eine sofortige chirurgische Intervention beim Nierentrauma notwendig. Die vorliegende Übersicht soll anhand der Leitlinien der European Association of Urology und der Societé Internationale d‘Urologie sowie klinischer Erfahrungen eine praktische Hilfestellung bei der Therapie des Nierentraumas bieten.
