Zusammenfassung
In den letzten beiden Kapiteln wurde erläutert, wie die Standardisierung des Projektmanagements Transparenz schafft und zur Replikation erfolgreicher Projektmanagement- Praktiken führt und wie Zentralisierung eine bessere strategische Ausrichtung sowie Multiprojektkoordination bewirkt. Es werden jedoch nicht sämtliche Projektmanagement- Probleme in einer Organisation gelöst, indem das Projektmanagement standardisiert und zentralisiert wird. Vielmehr ist es so, dass die gesteigerte Transparenz und die zentrale Überwachung der Projekte Schwachstellen in der Effektivität der Projektabwicklung erst sichtbar machen. Trotz Standardisierung und Zentralisierung bleibt in vielen Organisationen die Nutzenrealisierung von Projekten noch gering. Es werden zwar die richtigen Projekte ausgewählt und abgewickelt, die Projekte führen aber oft nicht zum gewünschten Erfolg, denn es fehlen Strukturen für die Messung und die Steuerung der Projektnutzenrealisierung.
