Zusammenfassung
Die Rettungsleitstelle meldet einen Patienten in der Notaufnahme an: »6 Monate alter Säugling, kreislaufstabil mit respiratorischer Insuffizienz. Kind kommt mit Mutter«. Der Rettungsdienst trifft ein und ein zyanotisches Baby wird in den Schockraum gebracht. Es schreit nicht, hat aber die Augen geöffnet. Ein Team bestehend aus einem internistischen Assistenten und Oberarzt, einem Anästhesisten und einer Notfallpflegefachkraft nehmen das Kind von den beiden Rettungssanitätern entgegen. Die weinende Mutter beugt sich über ihr Kind und streichelt ihm über den Kopf. Bei der Übergabe wird berichtet, dass der Säugling mit seiner 2-jährigen Schwester gespielt und dann zu Husten begonnen habe.
