Abstract

Based on the NOAA/AVHRR data during from 1982 to 1998 and the temperature and precipitation data at the same time, we have researched the dimensional distribution and change of surface albedo in China, obtained the relationship between surface albedo and temperature and precipitation, and calculated the distribution and change trends of surface albedo in China used the regression equation calculated. The results showed that the spatial distribution and variation tendency of the average surface albedo differ geographically in China; the surface albedo in different districts well correlates with temperature and precipitation, but the relativity making large differences due to vegetation types, temperature functioning more significantly than precipitation in the fluctuations of surface albedo. Equation of curve regression obtained by fitting the monthly average surface albedo and temperature and precipitation can better simulate the spatial distribution and seasonal variation of surface albedo in China. The systematic error of the model is small, yielding better simulation results.
