Abstract

This chapter is meant to support human resource departments as well as functional and general managers in calibrating their recruitment activities to the Chinese market. Recruitment is defined as the profiling, attraction, search, selection and on-boarding of candidates for open positions. Taking a generic global understanding of recruitment as a basis, this chapter will provide China-specific insights into the different stages of the recruitment process. The chapter focuses on recruiting white collar and skilled senior technical professionals.
