Zusammenfassung

Im folgenden wird aufgezeigt, welche Telematik-Dienste den Privatkunden und kleineren Firmenkunden heute in Europa und den USA zur Verfügung stehen. Dabei sollen vor allem aktuelle Entwicklungen und Trends herausgestellt werden. Ein Schwergewicht liegt dabei auf den europäischen Videotex-Systemen, die bis heute die Telematik-Dienste in Europa nachhaltig prägen. Im zweiten Teil wird dann auf allgemeine Entwicklungen bei den amerikanischen Online-Diensten eingegangen, dies auch im Hinblick auf die rasante Entwicklung der Internet-Dienste. Aufgrund des Tempos der Entwicklungen kann dieser Abschnitt lediglich generelle Tendenzen wiedergeben, auf eine Darstellung im Detail wird bewusst verzichtet.
