Zusammenfassung
Vor allem in den 80er Jahren und Anfang der 90er Jahre sind sowohl in Deutschland als auch international eine Vielzahl von Veröffentlichungen zum Thema „Wertewandel und Marketing“ erschienen (z. B. Silberer 1987, 1991 und 1995, Raffee & Wiedmann 1985, Wiedmann 1987). Dabei wurde vielfach von einem Trend zur aktiven, kritischen und ökologieorientierten Gesellschaft berichtet (Balderjahn 1986, Hansen 1995, bzw. unter dem Stichwort „Postmodernization“, z. B. Inglehart 1980, 1995, Hirschman & Holbrook 1992), von dem Bedeutungsverlust von Pflicht- und Akzeptanzwerten zugunsten von Selbstverwirklichung und einer Hinwendung zum Hedonismus („Erlebniskonsum“, z. B. Weinberg 1992, Weinberg & Gröppel 1988, Gröppel 1991, Schulze 1992).
