Abstract
Several examples of the interaction between service and sustainability are discussed. The division of resources, facilities, effort and knowledge between the provider and the customer as well as the core- and the super-values delivered are addressed. These examples provide insight about realistic opportunities to imbue services with sustainability and to design more sustainable solutions.
