Abstract

Current demands for continuous innovation have made the product design and development process a branch of engineering itself. Several techniques have been proposed to address the problem of developing a new product in a systematic way [1, 2]. In this paper we use some of these techniques and adjust them to carry out the conceptual design of a robot for assistance and rehabilitation of elderly and disabled persons.
