Abstract
A 68-year-old man underwent a laparoscopic TME because of a distal rectal cancer with a coloanal anastomosis. During the work up a cystoadenoma of the neck of the pancreas was found on the CT scan. Three months after the rectum operation a central pancreatectomy was performed. Being the patient already discharged, he was readmitted because of hematemesis and melena home.
