Abstract
Preputial calculi are common in the preputial sac of many animals specially horses, but in human it is the rarest form of urolithiasis seen usually in an uncircumcised elderly male with phimosis and poor hygiene. Only few cases were reported in female preputial sac, in the paediatric age group, a soft smegma accumulations are more common, but a true calculi are rare and the reported cases are usually secondary to phimosis and other urologic and neurologic anomalies.
Patients usually complain of micturition problems, which may reach to obstructive uropathy, but less severe cases may manifest as a hard mass inside the prepuce, poor urine flow, strangury, hematuria, and foul smelling discharge. Balanoposthitis is a common complication, but preputial ulcers and even perforation are rarely reported, surgical treatment is the mainstay of treatment; which may be in the form of either dorsal slit or circumcision.
