Abstract
You have completed a drug-sponsored trial. The agreement was for the pharmaceutical company to pay the department several thousand dollars in installments for the work done. The money was used for a research nurse and to pay the laboratory for analyzing blood samples. At the conclusion of the study, the results were to be submitted to the sponsor. At that point, the last installment was to be paid.
In this case, the results were not to the company’s liking. They didn’t want to have them published and were so unhappy with them that they withheld the last payment.
