Abstract
A look into the great advances in the field of radiopharmaceutical chemistry, we can find that emphasis now-a-day is directed mainly to achieve major developments in:
-
1.
Radiopharmaceutical agents for molecular nuclear medicine which emphasize targeting physiological processes at the molecular level.
-
2.
Expanding the base of quality assurance of radiopharmaceutical drug products.
-
3.
Total automation and computer control of production of radiopharmaceutics.
-
4.
Developing the regulatory process to allow for a smooth and safe flow of radiopharmaceutical production and its use, including the introduction of computer-assisted new drug application “CANDA.”
-
5.
Economics of radiopharmaceutical production and applications.
