Abstract
A holographic adaptive processing technique which is an advanced version of one described earlier,1,2 has bein applied to a passive underwater acoustics scenario used by Frost3 to test the well-known “Constrained Least-Mean-Squares (LMS) Algorithm” for adaptive array processing. This application allows the holographic approach to be functionally compared with the LMS approach. Results are presented which show that the holographic technique works better on the Frost Scenario (consisting of partly coherent signal, interferences, and white noise) than the LMS technique.
