Abstract

In preparing this presentation on risk-benefit analysis in drug research, I found it exceedingly difficult, as you will experience in the minutes to come, to do really more than to merely repeat the classical statements on this difficult and controversial subject that can be found in the abundant scientific and other literature of the last decades.

“When a man has anything to tell in this world, the difficulty is not to make him tell it, but to prevent him from telling it too often.”

(Bernard Shaw).
