Abstract
Birthmarks and acquired nevoid skin findings are a group of skin diseases in which one (nevus) or two or more (hamartoma) cell types are increased in number or functionally altered. Hamartomas are generally localized tumors of cells that are normal to a region, as opposed to choristomas, which contain cells abnormal to a region.
