Cultured Stromal Cell Lines from Hemopoietic Tissues

  • Chapter
Handbook of the Hemopoietic Microenvironment

Part of the book series: Contemporary Biomedicine ((CB,volume 9))

Abstract

Hemopoietic tissues are highly active in terms of cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. Their microorganization into discrete regions of cells from defined lineages or a given differentiation stage implies the existence of an instructing mechanism that acts locally.
