Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to give an overview of network management actions. In Chapter 5, this subject was treated from the local network operational management angle, focusing on the day-to-day tasks that must be executed by the network administrator. Here, we will consider the general problem of network management (Figure 11.1) and elements of the solution in greater depth.
