Abstract

In Chapters 10 and 11 you learned about the Model-View-ViewModel pattern and the concept of Inversion of Control. In this chapter, you will learn about Service Agents and how they are used to achieve Inversion of Control when building applications using the Model-View-ViewModel pattern. Although simplistic both in concept and in implementation, Service Agents are an integral part of achieving the separation that is a major goal of the Model-View-ViewModel pattern. Building on what you have already learned, you should find the concepts straightforward and easy to understand.

Of all those in the army close to the commander none is more intimate than the secret agent; of all rewards none more liberal than those given to secret agents; of all matters none is more confidential than those relating to secret operations. —Sun Tzu
