Liver: Helical Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging

  • Chapter
Liver Cancer

Part of the book series: Methods of Cancer Diagnosis, Therapy and Prognosis ((HAYAT,volume 5))

  • 1822 Accesses

Both computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging have made major contributions to the evaluation of liver morphology, blood flow and detection and characterization of liver neoplasms.

Studies in numerous institutions have established that both CT and MR imaging are highly accurate in the diagnosis of hepatic pathology.
