Abstract
IN THIS CASE STUDY WE AIM TO:
-
EXAMINE the way in which multinational companies (MNCs) restructure their production operations in the face of international pressures
-
CONSIDER the role that MNCs play in the internationalisation of economic activity and the way in which many have sought to achieve greater international integration. In particular, it investigates the processes through which international integration takes place, focusing on the relationship between headquarters (HQ) and plant managers
-
CONSIDER the role of the human resource (HR) function in the process of international integration and DISCUSS the implications of this for managerial and non-managerial employees.
