Abstract

In our discussion so far we introduced some theoretical and practical issues to familiarise the reader with the framework of social research, the varieties of thought in this area, the problems and issues related to it, the methods researchers use to measure reality and, finally, the manner in which research is carried out. It was shown there that social research is a diverse and pluralistic enterprise and that research is best carried out in the form of a more or less systematic process, which can be presented in the form of a model.
