About this book

This introductory text on social research is designed for students undertaking courses in social sciences and related disciplines. Its main aim is to integrate in one volume quantitative, qualitative and feminist research and to offer a comprehensive introduction to the methods and their methodological frameworks, demonstrating their purpose and relevance. The second edition builds on the strengths of the first, presenting its material in an enriched and fully updated form, and including separate chapters on questionnaires and interviewing, new sections on action and evaluation research and the addition of computer-aided statistical analysis.
