Abstract
In the present paper an H ∞ type approach is developed in order to solve fault detection and identification problems for linear dynamic systems. It is shown that the design specifications lead to a multi—objectives optimization problem. Necessary and sufficient solvability conditions for these problems are given together with an illustrative numerical example.
