Abstract
Exploitation of Web service technologies is being attempted in various areas of Grid computing. In our effort to perform Grid computation tasks based on the Web service enabled job submission system, a series of new technologies have been adopted and developed in order to achieve better functionalities, performance, and seamless integration with existing Grid computing environment. This paper presents work with detailed descriptions of new Web service and service invocation technologies, as well as demonstrations of how they are deployed in a job submission service. Experiences with these technologies are also provided, accompanied by results of tests on some of the enhanced service functionalities for evaluation and reference.
