Abstract

The precise phase and amplitude are important for the application of the high-resolution SAR image. Airborne synthetic aperture radar antenna beam pointing varies due to the instability of platform. The effect of the varied antenna pointing on the high-resolution SAR image will be analyzed. A SAR signal model will be established based on the relationship of the beam pointing and the gain of the echo. The distortion of the phase and the amplitude of the image is discussed for two cases. Finally, the simulation results will be provided to evaluate the development in this paper.
