Abstract
The diseases discussed in this chapter are divided into two broad categories. The first category consists of those diseases that represent a response of the endometrium to a variety of stimuli, including infectious agents, abnormal levels of endogenous hormones, drugs, and physical agents. The second category are abnormal tissue growths outside the realm of endometrial neoplasia. These abnormal growths range from the commonly encountered endometrial polyps and adenomyosis to the infrequent heterotopias and rare types of tumors.
