Erratum to: A comparative analysis of scientific publications in management journals by authors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau: 2003–2012

In the original publication of the article, authors had made a mistake in calculating article numbers from mainland China in year 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The authors regret that errors occurred in Table 1, Fig. 1, and Fig. 3.

The correct version of Table 1, Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is provided in this erratum. The X-axis of Fig. 3 in our paper is the cited year.

In Table 1, the accumulated impact factor numbers from ML for each year from 2007 to 2011 should be corrected to 472.63, 627.26, 932.89, 1021.94, and 1471.01, respectively, and the total accumulated impact factor from ML should be corrected from 7119.54 to 6914.37. The mean impact factor rates from ML for each year from 2007 to 2011 should be corrected to 1.00, 1.05, 1.16, 1.23, and 1.36, respectively, and the mean impact factor from ML should be corrected from 1.26 to 1.22.

In the fifth line on page 137, “r = 0.86233, P = 0.0013” should be corrected to “r = 0.98237, P < 0.001”.

In the first sentence of the “Impact factors” section on page 137, “Mainland (7119.54)” should be corrected to “Mainland (6914.37)”, and “x ² = 27.4493” should be corrected to “x ² = 27.5546”.

In the fifth line of the “Impact factors” section on page 137, “Mainland (1.26)” should be corrected to “Mainland (1.22)”; in the sixth line of the same paragraph, “F = 3.3, P = 0.0313” should be corrected to “F = 3.84, P = 0.0175”.

In the first paragraph on page 138, “x ² = 2.5666, P = 0.4634” should be corrected to “x ² = 2.8740, P = 0.4115”.

In the first sentence of the third paragraph on page 142, “health care sciences and services” should be corrected to “management”.
