4-Hydroxy-2-quinolones. 221.* Synthesis, structure, and biological activity of 3-(3-(alkylcarbamoyl-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-1-yl)propanoic acids

  • Published:
Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds Aims and scope

A simple method is proposed and used for preparing a series of 3-(3-alkylcarbamoyl-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-1-yl)propanoic acids. A comparative analysis was carried out on the analgesic and diuretic properties of these compounds and their synthetic precursors, namely, the corresponding 1-(2-cyanoethyl)-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxamides.
