Higher education is provided by universities, colleges and institutes.
Stages of studies
University level first stage
Bachelor’s degree
Four-year courses lead to the Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Biology, Chemistry, Education, English, Mathematics, Physics, Accounting, Business and Management, Computing, Engineering and Office Management. A Bachelor’s degree in general nursing takes four years to complete. A BSc in Medical Studies is conferred following a two-year pre-medical course followed by a two-year pre-clinical internship.
University level second stage
Master’s degree, Postgraduate diploma
The second stage leads, after two to four years’ study, to the Master’s degree in Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Education and Business Administration. An MD is conferred after a three-year clinical internship following upon the BSc in Medical Studies. A three-year part-time MBA is also available. Postgraduate diplomas are conferred...
