Abstract

Sidrauski was born and educated in Buenos Aires. He entered the University of Chicago Ph.D. programme in 1963, completed his dissertation in 1966, and accepted an assistant professor appointment at MIT. He died of cancer in September 1968, leaving his wife, Martha, and two-month old daughter, Carmela.
