This is a type of ecological landscape that mainly includes tropical grassland (savanna) and temperate grassland. The grassland landscape structure is simple, the seasonal effects are remarkable, the plant distribution is uniform, and the plant layers are not obvious. The plant types mainly include tussock grass xerophytes with narrow leaves, such as Cleistogees, stipas and Achnatherum, Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Cyperaceae and some rhizomatous grasses. There are few large plants. The grassland animals include herbivorous mammals (including bisons, Connochaetes, antelopes, rhinoceros, elephants, cows, sheep, camels, horses, donkeys and goats) and carnivores, including a variety of canines (wolves), Felidae (lions and cheetahs), hyenas and mongoose (Fig. 35).
