This logo was designed by York Penno. The circle represents the Earth, and the five curved lines represent its five different spheres, including the core and mantle, lithosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere. The logo represents that the Earth is a planet on which humans live in its continuously changing environment. The logo also indicates that under the auspices of UNESCO, global geoparks are selected and protected for sustainable development. No other organisations are allowed to use the logo of UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
