Evening rain refers to the rainy period from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. Bashan refers to the Daba Mountain Range. In general, the ‘Evening Rain in the Bashan Mountains’ covers the rainy nights in the mountainous areas of southwestern China (including the Sichuan Basin), and the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Three Gorges is typical of this type of scenery. The rainy nights in these areas account for more than 60% of the annual precipitation.
