Erkuang Zhang (1933–) is a professor grade senior engineer. He is one of the founders of tourism earth science in China. In 1954, he graduated from Wuhan Geological School. He has served as chief engineer of the Hebei Provincial Comprehensive Geological Group, deputy chairman of the China Tourism Earth Science Research Institute, and deputy chief editor of the ‘Grand Tourism Earth Science Dictionary’. He participated in the establishment of the China Tourism Earth Science Research Institute. He is one of the authors of ‘An Introduction to Tourism Earth Science’ and has published 15 papers and books on tourism earth science.
