Coastal and marine tourism involves touring, entertainment and holidays related to the ocean. It includes the appreciation of marine life and geological landscapes, sightseeing of ocean parks and seashores as well as vacation activities on yachts and cruises. After nearly 20 years of development, China has gradually formed five major coastal and marine tourism areas around the Bohai Sea, the Yangtze River Delta, the Minjiang Delta, the Pearl River Delta and Hainan Island.
