This landform looks like clastic walls. These walls form when hard sandstone is subjected to fluvial erosion along parallel vertical joints during crustal uplift. The clastic rock wall that developed in the Cretaceous sandstone in Guanzhaishan National Geopark in Fujian Province is a typical example of this type (Fig. 35).
